FADA Awards & Face of African Queen

Welcome to a brand new experience
Finland Afro Diaspora Awards (FADA) was established in November 2019 to reward and celebrate exceptional performance and outstanding achievements of black people in Finland.

The minority hardworking Africans in Finland have not had so much recognition as the rest of the other communities in the Nordic nation. This is the reason why we have decided to come up with an annual event that will be recognizing all Africans in Finland vis-à-vis what they do and how they are Influencing others.

The goal of the awards is to integrate and also maintain the African culture in the society we live in, bridging the gap through appreciating the most hardworking Africans in Finland. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic which has taken a toll on our preparations, we decided to drop the FADA Awards and concentrate on the Face of African Queen beauty pageant

The Face of African Queen is a beauty pageant aimed at showcasing the enviable African beauty in Finland.

The goal of the beauty pageant is to provide young African women who were born or live in Finland with a platform to showcase their beauty, culture, talents, and creativity. We want to encourage them to be more confident, and goal-oriented. It is a platform for ladies with African background to build their self-confidence and self-esteem.

The winner of the beauty pageant will go home with an all-expenses-paid trip to Malta including a hotel for 7 days in a cosy hotel and loads of beauty care products. She will grace the front cover of Diaspora Glitz Magazine.

The event is powered by Diaspora Reporters in partnership with others.
